Chad Tailor

Founder & Board of DIRECTORS

Chad’s passion for filmmaking was inspired by his father’s work in the film industry, particularly in the art department. As a child, he had movie posters on the walls. He owned a vast VHS and DVD collection. A school trip to see Phantom of the Opera sparked his newfound love for theatre. His early encounters on film and television sets left a lasting impact, including unforgettable moments meeting Mr. T on set followed by Sarah Polley on the set of Road to Avonlea. As a teenager, Chad worked for his father’s business on iconic films like X-Men, Billy Madison, Blues Brothers 2000, The Skulls, and It Takes Two.

After graduating from Toronto Film School, Chad founded Tailored Films. He is a producer and director. He is a full member of ACTRA Toronto and an AACE-accredited acting coach. He is also represented by AMP Talent Group. Since the early 2010’s, he has produced and acted in commercial content, stage shows, and award-winning short and feature films. His first feature was A Done Deal. It is a semi-biographical re-telling of his own struggles with addiction. This marked the beginning of his filmmaking career. His work has earned recognition from esteemed outlets. These include the New York Times and the Writers Guild of Canada. He has also been recognized by festivals like the Mollins Horror Festival and the Niagara International Film Festival. Other acknowledgments come from Hollywood Shorts, Houston Comedy Festival, and the RCMP Drug Awareness Campaign.

Chad has a lifelong passion for storytelling. This passion continues to drive him. He brings creative visions to life, one project at a time.

Fun facts: Chad co-parents a Boston Terrier named Milo. He tears up every time he watches Wicked. He absolutely hates being asked what his favorite movie is!
